Veterinarians
Dr. Andrea Komkov, MS, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Komkov has 38 years of experience in veterinary medicine. She graduated from Texas A&M in 1985 with a DVM degree and has a special interest in Internal Medicine and advanced training in Nuclear Medicine. She has found the most rewarding aspect of her profession to be the long-term relationships she has formed with so many clients and their families over the years. Dr. Komkov currently has two cats named Dolly and Annie, but will surely end up with a dog in the future!
Dr. Patty Mullen DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Mullen received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1998 and is particularly enthusiastic about internal medicine and geriatrics, especially hospice care. She has a busy home life with her husband, four children, and two dogs. She enjoys a strong relationship with her church and is active in the missions that it supports. She also loves to bake and is known for her Christmas cookies! Dr. Mullen loves her relationship with her clients and considers many of them friends.
Dr. Shannon Gaharan DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Gaharan is a Louisiana native and graduated from LSU in 2012 (Geaux Tigers!). She enjoys internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and wellness/preventive care. She aims to provide the best possible patient care and preserve the human-animal bond for every family. She and her husband have three daughters, one dog and one cat. With any free time, she loves being on the lake, engaging in water sports, enjoying live music, and traveling.

Hospital Manager
Krystn joined our reception team in 2017 and stepped into the role of Hospital Manager in 2022. She has years of customer service experience, and we are happy to have her on our team. Krystn and her husband have two grown children and a “show dog” named Grace Kelly. On her days off, Krystn enjoys baking and entertaining.

We sadly lost Beverly in 2016. We will always miss her and she will always be a part of the Pavillion family, so her picture remains as a loving tribute.
Jessica
LVT
Jessica has been with Pavillion since 2009. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, she is an invaluable asset. Her skill set and knowledge are exceptional. The clients and patients all appreciate her calm, capable personality. Jessica is a Mom to two beautiful children, and when she has time off, her family loves to vacation at the coast or a nearby lake.
Sara
Veterinary Technician
Sara came to us in 2021 with many years of experience. She has been such a great addition to our technical staff. Her sweet personality immediately calms our patients and clients alike. Everyone adores her. We have been so lucky to benefit from her expertise. Sara has an angry little cat at home that we all fear!
Joe
Veterinary Technician
Joe started at Pavillion in April of 2024 and has been a great addition to our team. Joe has 16+ years of experience working as a veterinary technician and his calm and caring demeanor immediately puts pets and clients at ease. Joe is a proud ‘cat dad’ and enjoys working on cars & computers and pumping iron at the gym!
Daisy
Veterinary Technician
Daisy joined us in September of 2025 and comes to us with 9 years of experience. She is an absolute delight and people and pets alike enjoy her sunny personality. Daisy is busy raising a teenager and 2 Chihuahuas. When she finds time for herself, she enjoys music, concerts and art.
Raiza
Veterinary Technician
Raiza is like a little boomerang that just keeps circling back to us…and we are thrilled she does! She first started working in our kennel and now works as a technician’s assistant. She has all kinds of experience with animals including her internship at the big cat sanctuary. Raiza enjoys traveling and spending time with her dogs Ruby and Iris. Raiza will start vet school in the near future and we know she is destined for greatness!

Receptionist
Lisa has 24 years of experience and has worked at Pavillion Animal Hospital since 1999. Her love and compassion for all animals began at a very young age while growing up on a family farm in Canada. She is always willing to give helpful advice to our clients. Lisa is currently owned by her cats Donny, Marie, Charlie, Emmy & Pearl.
Sandy
Receptionist
Sandy has 8 years of experience and started working with us in June of 2014. She is always smiling and happy to greet you at the reception desk. She is the proud mother of “Tooter,” a spunky little poodle mix she rescued two years ago and recently adopted “Tater” a long haired Dachshund. If you see Sandy at the clinic, you might ask for an encore performance of the What-A-Burger jingle!
Kim
Receptionist
Kim has been with the practice since 2018. She is a part-time receptionist and our medical transcriptionist. We all love Kim’s positive personality, friendly smile and honest laugh. She has a heart as big as Texas for everyone and everything, and contributes to rescue groups and needy animals frequently. We are so happy to have her at Pavillion. Kim has two dogs, Kijay and Goober. Goober lives up to his name.

Steve joined our reception team in 2021. Steve is a Sagittarius, “enjoys pina coladas, getting caught in the rain”. On a serious note, Steve is truly a pleasure to work with. His attention to detail and quick wit make him a great addition to the front desk. Steve and his beautiful wife are proud parents of Dexter the cat.
Kennel Staff
Alex
Kennel Technician
Alex started at Pavillion in October of 2024. He has experience as a kennel technician and has always had a passion for working with animals. Alex plans to pursue a career as a veterinary technician and will begin classes in summer 2025. Alex’s patience and kindness make him a natural with our patients and boarders and we are so glad he is here. When Alex isn’t working, he enjoys playing video games and spending time with his 3 cats and 2 dogs.
Michael
Kennel Technician
Michael has a history with Pavillion. He first came to work in our kennel in 2014 and left on hiatus in 2021. He found his way back to us in November of 2025 and we’re so glad he did! Michael is an integral part of our kennel staff and works hard to keep our kennel in tip-top shape. Michael enjoys spending time with his cat, Sweet Caroline and when he’s not working he likes to catch up on his ‘beauty’ sleep and play video games.
Jasmine
Kennel Technician
Jasmine joined our kennel staff in the fall of 2025. She is a student at UT Dallas majoring in biology and recently adopted a kitten named Marshall Lee (affectionately known as “Marshie”). When she’s not studying or working, Jasmine plays competitive tennis! She is a joy to have here at Pavillion and loves the animals as much as they love her.
